yes because some ethics practices do affect the final product
>tonnes of needles resulting in abscesses from infected deep muscle injection sites or physical injuries>tougher meat from stress at time of slaughter as well as some subtler taste differences which most people can't notice because they cover that shit in sauce/oil/breading anyways>lower marbling and lower yield from poor fodder>overcrowding can cause all 3 of the above as animals in tiny pens scramble all over eachotherbut especially never fall for the insane halal meat slaughtering practices, it's not only barbaric as hell to do, it's also a far lower quality product because they try to bleed the animal out while alive, which doesn't do shit all for bleeding it out and only causes the maximum amount of stress all for the benefit of.. superstition.
heres a picture of a cow being inverted moments before it's throat is slashed open with a large knife
defenders will claim the animals don't suffer at all because they don't cry out during this, but that is because the vocal cords are cut, and you can see steam from the animals lungs pouring out of the throat as they try to scream in agony.
The practice might have been the best way to do it in the desert 3000 years before refrigeration but we've come a long way past relying on superstitions of not eating fish washed up on the shore that stem from anecdotal evidence gathered over time, because with science we now know that dangerous parasites cause those fish to wash up on shore.
