I can't tell if this is ballet because they have a train blocking her feet for most of it for some reason and it looks like she doesnt move outside of an 8ft box in any direction she doesn really use the stage

Idol dancing is dancing so the lowest common denominator can pull it off while singing, hip hop is very contemporary and it's the kind of dancing that'll probably actually get you work, and ballet is something you dedicate your entire life from childhood towards only to grow up and learn you don't have the physique to be worth a damn in the field, and wash out.

Even if you can get pretty close, the full tracking just doesn't exist well enough to capture every minute movement, meaning a lot of the swings, arm movement, and footwork just get lost.

It's hard, the audience has very little interest in it, and it's not that big in Japan as far as a I can tell. Same with opera and other niche stuff. I'm sure Lia grew up doing ballet, it's nothing something you take up as an adult just for the hell of it.
