>>107323275That's the wrong question. The right question is, "how many Holos were convinced not to graduate after talking it out with friends?"
The answer is 'a lot'.
Kanata's circumstance is unique in that no one knew she was going to graduate.
Talents like Shion talked it out with her gen BEFORE announcing it.
We have 23 days left. If we she talks to her friends in private 3 hours per day,
23 * 3 = 69 hours
That's 69 hours of opportunities to change her mind. And keep in mind '3' hours is quite pessimistic.
She will probably talk a lot more now that she only has her graduation stream to look forward to, and a bunch of worried friends who want her stay.
You can probably tell your entire life story well under 5 hours. 69 hours (at the worst) is more than enough time to convince her.
Sheer hours aside, ideas and emotions need to fester.
Each day Lamy urges her to cancel her graduation, she'll be thinking about her words, sleeping over them, and her brain will process that information in a way that deconstructs her current stance.
From a psychological standpoint, even if you are fully opposed to something, you can gradually open up to accepting it through long-term exposure.
That's the nature of humans, we always adapt given enough exposure. We aren't calculators, we are emotional beings first and foremost.
How much exposure you need to change your mind depends on the person, though.
