It’s not a case where she was the former, but rather something similar to Mint, VShojo likely picked up Jaiden while she wanted to be a Vtuber that wasn’t attached to her brand, and also was planning to give her a gen after Zentreya complained about not giving a chance to smaller Vtubers (said ones were Beri, Pia and Tori) who came from the auditions.
Technically it was all a ruse, they intended for the community to not get mad at them for picking up already known people (Mint and Jaiden) mixed up with less known people
