She's the lowest common denominator of vtubing. Very normal and bland and with the widest possible appeal, it's what you need to be to be the biggest, and being the biggest also makes you very bland and friendly to keep that spot. It's like with music, pop is very generic and easy to listen to, even if there are countless more complex and interesting genres with less fans. The thing is, even Mouse is a "cringe anime nerd" to the normies. What she is to other smaller vtubers, Peanut is to vtubing as a whole. Lowest common denominator making brainrot slop for 12-year-old FPS fans. He can overwhelm any voting system with his broad non-vtuber normie appeal the way Mouse can overwhelm a voting system against most other vtubers. Why would you expect anything else from a popularity contest? Ideally the awards show would filter out shitty entries like Peanut but it's normies prioritizing normie content, they will always shit all over niche cultures if they can. Just too bad that "the face of vtubing" turns the other cheek when someone spits in her face.
