The Chinese are planning to invade Taiwan to then use it to stage a Ryūku islands and Okinawa invasion to then stage a mainland Japan invasion, and then use mainland Japan to stage a full-blown SEA, Australia and New Zealand invasion.
The justification will be that Japan is becoming a fascist state again and the other states are also becoming allies of said fascist regime. So a "special military operation" is needed to avert the rise of said fascism in the region under WW2 pretenses.
