Also, depends entirely on if the talent agreed to use their voice for AI way later, I mean they signed an actual contract, one long-term, otherwise they can sue the company for real since it is basically pulling from the same book as unsavory deepfakes, but even worse since they would be trying to profit off it. That's why an accord is needed.
However, there is very likely several talents, not necessarily from Hololive though, that have already signed a clause like this, but in the case of performer death, probably. Unfortunately, until the tech gets better, they can't really put the contract to work to recreate them at baseline and stream since the voices lack emotion and a proper in-character response to different stimuli.
It will happen, no idea if it will be Hololive, but it will happen, the talent would have agreed to it beforehand, and we will forever discuss whether that was smart or retarded, and if the company did something right or not since the talent agreed anyways because they didn't want their legacy to die with them, or at least not by the time the performer died, one last stretch i would call it.
