>>107546834>>107547073>>107547096the other anons prattling on about muh leddit muh cucks and saying it has anything to do with the Shiori incident or Nimi's LLD are lying to you; holotower (nicknamed towa due to the longstanding memetic liking of Tokoyami Towa that the Hololive Global (/hlgg/) that predates this board back to just /hlg/ on /jp/) was created at some point a few years ago as an alternative version of Hololive Global since at that point post-2022 Hololive Global was in the peak shitposting era where almost every thread was unusuable due to relentless thread derailment and shitposting from dedicated schizos such as Kiaraschizo shitting up every thread, the sheer lack of moderation (or outright malicious pro-shitposter moderation (the 4chan hack confirmed it was indeed malicious)) and each subsequent wave of newfags to /vt/ after every new gen debut being more newfaggy and more inclined to bit bit and get shitposted into fanbase wars than the last (during all of this only a small minority of anons knew the tower existed and went there).
The actual reason, however, that almost the entirety of Global's denizens and regular posters (and many holofags in general since they all frequented Global) all just left for the tower is just that the 4chan hack happened and the site was organically discovered/talked about elsewhere and so they 'temporarily' re-established Global and all the generals over there during 4chan being down but then simply never bothered to come back again due to hving no incentive via the fact that the tower has 'kill shitposters on site' moderation (meaning all the usual schizos can never get a foothold and have to remain here complaining about tower indefinitely) and due to /vt/ not having gotten any less trashy of a board in their absence. Also the tower has some features that just mog this site in terms of the posting speed, various UIs to choose from and the ability to soundpost with mp4s that have sound without needing adjacent scripts on your browser to run them amongst other things.
Basically, the tower is just 'Hololive Global + some generals' without tourist shitposters or schizos and the holofags are all there just because of the hack and having no user incentive to come back here.
