>>107591112There are a lot of factors that influence Doki's numbers, many of which tend to get obfuscated or misconstrued when discussed /here/. If you catch her when she does guerilla Marvel Rivals streams or playing more obscure/less popular/non-FOTM games, the numbers tend to portray the audience that will be present no matter what. This generally hovers between 1.8-2.5k with some variation. When she plays a game that is more palatable to most people or her overall audience, the number tends to hover between 3-4k for the most part. On games that are trending or just more popular, she has breached 5k ish in the past. Those are the numbers you can generally expect out of solo Doki.
But those numbers are not everything. Doki is supported by a LOT of other vtubers regardless of size. The degree to which this support is apparent varies. The loudest about supporting her, barring her actual friends and frequent collab partners, are small indies with very little presence and mindshare in the larger western vtubing sphere. Doki frequently gets raided by complete no-names at random. Even if they do not regularly tune into her streams since they're probably streaming their own stuff, having the support of dozens of indies means Doki's perception on social media is very positive and difficult to sway. Then there are the bigger indies whose support tends to manifest as infrequent or one-time collabs (Matara, Zentreya, Pippa, Filian, Shylily, Juniper, Bao, Froot, Amalee/CyYu, Holostars), or mentioning her name in a positive way (Tenma, Clio Aite, Ironmouse, Dr. Nova e, Michi). They cannot be considered part of Doki's viewership, obviously, but it's immediately evident that Doki has a plethora of connections to other relatively well-known vtubers at her disposal.
And then there are the non-vtuber aspects of her audience. Thanks to her branching into the Tekken and Street Fighter content creator tournaments, Doki has made connections with FGCbros and other variety content creators (CONEY, Brawlpro, Lilypichu). People like Alpharad and Justing Wong have watched her streams. Her penchant for watching competitive shooters has led to making connections with people in esports and has gotten her quick access to DMs with people in companies like Bamco. EA, and Capcom. She has made fans out of people in companies (HYTE being the best example)/ The people in these companies seem to like her enough to frequently reinivite her and endorse her streams.
Doki's audience is not the same as those in Hololive who tend to get the biggest consistent numbers per stream. But there's always a chance your oshi, no matter where she is, secretly watches Doki. She's a streamer's streamer. Even if you don't find her entertaining, your oshi probably does. That's a talking point people don't bring up in /#/ because everyone is eager to jerk it to five-figure CCV or disparage Nimi/Dooby/Saba for the umpteenth time because it's infested to the brim with Hololilve-only watchers.
