It's kinda crazy how this whole mess snowballed for Ironmouse. Ironmouse tried appealing to the normies, while remaining as professional as possible, siding with them on the peanut debacle (Calls the gatekeeping and hate from parts of the vtuber community "cringe," congratulates him as a legit "PTuber," all that. Basically trying to be the bigger person and bridge the gap. yada yada), and then gets called out by primarily the vtuber community for not gatekeeping the fandom or calling out the peanut's audience for shitting on the vtuber fans. All in all, it left alot of the vtuber community in a standstill/disarray choosing to separate what she thinks from what the vtuber community stands for, all while she's trying to be normie-adjacent.
It could've all passed on fine, had she just left it there, and moved on. But then she goes live talking about that off-stage interaction at the streamer awards with ray and rakai, where they hyped her up as a "legend" at first but then hit her with invasive questions about her real-life looks and ethnicity, leaving her shaking and uncomfortable. Fair enough to call it out, but now the normie side (who barely knew or cared about her before) piles on, mocking her as over-sensitive or dramatic, with some straight-up clowning her avatar and privacy thing, basically seeing her as a joke.
One move, and well now, she's at edge with BOTH sides at once. Vtuber community still side-eyeing her over the peanut stuff, while the normies dismissing her as a joke over the interaction. Pretty tragic how trying to please everyone just alienated everybody. Really sad that this is how it came to be. Moral of the story: you can't keep crossing through that normie-vtuber divide forever without getting torn in half, pick a lane or the internet will drag you through both.
