In 2024, we had:
- A anti-black corpo revolution with clear heroes and villains.
- The triumphant return of Selen as Dokibird, the birth of the large ex-corpo meta.
- A newly invigorated EN indie scene that produced multiple industry-wide unity events.
- Gura on the Jumbotron promising a new era of vtubing going mainstream.

This year we have:
- Holo, Indies, Niji, AND Vshojo took major or in the latter case fatal yabs.
- A lot of Holo graduations into full or semi retirement.
- Leading figures in EN Unity scene either disgraced or turned their focus inward. No EN-wide events, vtuber awards cancelled due to Filian dumbfuckery.
