iirc cover's storefront have the equivalent of booth's boost feature where you can pay an arbitrary amount of tip on top of the voice purchase, which is basically a superchat in all but name.

streamlabs have been considered in the past by both niji and holo, I remember some fans got angry they are trying to bypass youtube's cut but this was 2019 era where the more extreme vtuber fans are still the majority.

The logic was that they're relying on youtube as a platform to stream so they shouldn't try to circumvent any fees relating to its system. I remember some of then NijiID vtubers not giving a fuck though.
