>>107686205Dizzy is just super monotone. She’s stated in past VODs she was always bullied for sounding mad or bored because her voice is flat. If you look through some of the older threads back in maybe June or July iirc me and a few other people on /freak/ were discussing something she said on stream (I think this was back during her Serious Sam playthrough) she said that her voice insecurity was so bad at the time she was considering vocal cord surgery and studying other vtuber’s voices like Muu Muyu from Phase Connect and trying to mimic her dialect since she stated her voice was cute. Anyway sorry I don’t mean to come off as I’m ridiculing, as a long time Marimo I wanted to give some insight incase you weren’t aware of anything I just mentioned. Dizzy plays a lot of really niche and strange indie games and also Voices of the Void, which is why I personally watch her. I love horror and she always somehow finds the strangest games I have never heard of before. She’s done some pretty cool deep dives in the past as well and just generally has a lot of really weird niche interests and pretty good taste in games. She’s also really good at shooters. Her current Cultic playthrough has been great if you like boomer shooters.
Gloomi is definitely for an older crowd I would say but she’s pretty chill. I think though her being a bit mean is part of her character, kinda like a bitchy but cool older sister. She is very into emo music if that’s your sorta thing, and playing older retro games. I like drinking and watching her after work while I make dinner. I can’t really get my indie game fix like I do with Dizzy, but Gloomi has pretty good taste in retro games and she’s pretty good at yap.
Both of them are really charming to me, but of course I’m biased. Just wanted to give a different perspective I suppose, but you should really give them another shot (if you want to of course).
It makes sense why the trio is so close. They’re all just really cute and cool girls.
