I’m not saying this applies to everyone, but many people in the EN community tend to summarize her graduation as being due to her ear condition. In contrast, in the JP community, while the ear condition is seen as one factor, there is a strong perception that clear shortcomings in Cover’s management also played a role.
Following that, impressions spread that Cover hasn’t been very fan-friendly either, especially regarding its stance on ticket sales in relation to Korone not participating in the fes.
As a result of many things happening in quick succession, it feels like more people have “woken up” from a certain idealized image they had of Cover.
It’s not to the same extent as some other agencies, but there’s a growing sense of, “Cover definitely has its own set of problems too.”
