The new Japanese PM thinks she's a female Trump and threatened to pull Japan out of its military treaties with the US so they can rebuild their military and start building nukes. She also threatened to send Japanese troops to Taiwan and South Korea. This not only pissed off China but also Taiwan and South Korea, understandably.
China is doing a pressure campaign on Japan to drop this batshit lady by targeting anime/manga stuff.
They know China is the largest global consumer of anime/manga, and it would be disastrous for Japan's economy if they can't sell loli onaholes to Chinese weebs, so it might actually work when Japanese companies see the massive drop in overseas sales.
