The reason for that is that 16personalities, which claims to be based on MBTI, teaches you nothing about MBTI.
They have their own system they frankenstein'd by mashing together OCEAN (aka The Big Five), MBTI and their own bullshit that has nothing to do with either.
Instead of explaining the function stack (which is the core of MBTI), they just leave a flowery description of the type of person you are, which is where the analogies to astrology come from.
Actual MBTI in hardcore typology circles don't concern themselves anything but the function stack.
I have a feeling 99% of people who have heard of MBTI think the extraversion (introverted vs. extraverted) in INTP means social extraversion, which shows they don't know the first thing about it.
