I’m not directly quoting or posting the screenshot although it did leak back when Kanata moved, but it was more or less “Even though they’re pulling us apart our bond won’t falter, we are and will keep being very close friends even if they don’t let us show it anymore.”
Kson has always talked about how keeping the rights to a character is similar to holding someone’s fans hostage, and that normal singers /artists can leave an agency but keep their image. She started being even more vocal about it during that time as well. Saying that in Japan laws are written in blood and rights for vtubers as real artists or freelancers will sadly only start getting real legislations when someone dies, and couldn’t help but think Kanata’s example is a close match to that scenario, she really sounded like someone with suicidal ideations in some of her last streams. I just hope the other girls and Kson can help her even if she rejects them at first.
