So i was watching Detroit playthroughs, and i catch something quite interesting. There's a scene where Markus led a "peaceful demo" in attempt to free the androids. When confronted by cops, most chuubas just simply get scared and pussied their way out. But Sasaki is among the few ones who don't hold back and instead choose to fight. I was really surprised. The one who choose to be brave and fight back is the one who watches anime? That's like debunking every negative stereotype of the average anime watchers. And it also proved that anime can actually turn people to be brave. This is very important especially in an age where we think most people have turned into "herbivores" or "would rather watch anime and shut themselves in". But that's been proven otherwise as we just saw what happened. What i'm trying to say is, if anime can change how people think and act, imagine what vtubing as a new medium can do.
