>>108250115>Blame Cover for their incompetence. When their talents were being bullied, they kept quiet. That’s true but I’d like to think that if some weirdo walked up to any member of an office and spat in their face, everyone around would make it clear that behavior is unacceptable. Them being entertainers and the public nature of their jobs changes things, people judge you for what you allow (tacitly or explicitly) your audience to do. Not necessarily getting involved or anything but at least something. It’s not a stretch for people to assume a lot of Cover staff and the girls themselves loathe Holostars (And yes I did see some people saying that) if they see their coworkers getting spat on, threats, and harassment on the daily and couldn’t be bothered to make one post asking their fans not to do that. Had the girls themselves called them out, it would have taken a lot of the wind from the sails of their fans or antis pretending to be fans. Instead, one of the Gen 3 girls clarified in a zatsu that she will never talk with Holostars treating the thing as a joke with drum roll and all. That got clipped by an unicorn who added a celebratory dance to her laugh, ngl that turned me off that one chuuba and her fanbase for a long time.
Again I do agree that ultimately it was Cover who held the official responsibility to try and tardwrangle their fans, and they were unable or unwilling to do so. The girls shouldn’t have had to do their job for them, but the reality is that a part of the incel fans they make their fortunes on were the ones constantly spitting on the face of people who did no crime other than having an agency name too similar to their sister branch.
Sorry it probably doesn’t matter nowadays its just something that left a really really bitter taste in my mouth for a long time. I really am glad to hear Miyabi has moved on (I hope that’s genuine and not him just being nice though) and I’m sure it was quite the character development arc for him.
