Most of the unique content is in Europe. I think Aztects are pretty unique too. China and Japan while having interesting things are in questionable state. Also it's pretty confusing and have tons of mechanics, so it will take some time to understand them.
At the end it's a solid Paradox game. If you love theirs's games you will probably love it.
I say this as someone with hundreds of hours in CK2-3, Stellaris, Vicky 3, EU4.
