Ui (9) somehow manages to exist in the same place as her (it is unexplained how) and leads the masses to enact a ritual to force Ui (16) to live in the same way as Ui (9), as a god propped up by the prayers of millions of trash-people. In order to achieve this, she draws upon a wish shared by many of them that she herself cannot grant: The wish for a mommy. (Do note that while Ui’s fans don’t really ever express this wish, it was mentioned in Catcher in the Ui before.) Ui (16) fights the ritual with all her power, but gets dragged into it anyway by force or supernatural compulsion, and in the end a compromise is reached: A third Ui is born, distinct from Ui (16) but nevertheless capable of fulfilling the mindless masses desires to return to the womb.
