they're completely different, japan doesn't have simulation games. armored core is the closest you'll get to simulation but even that is more action and customization focused
other JP mecha games are all anime or strategy games

Yeah, for the past 2 hours or so, at least she's slowly learning.

I think it's actually easier to play with just keyboard using the numpad because with the mouse she'll have to take her hand off the arrow keys to use the other keys and this game uses the whole keyboard
