A more specific criticism of the animation is that it comes to a stop too smoothly. The emphasized delayed motion, but lack of jiggle, gives an appearance of them slowly easing into the next position. I can understand not pushing their luck with YouTube-kun by going full Gainax, but there is a whole spectrum of possible movement between "comically unrealistic bouncing" and "weightless floating".
