Not really, At least not on streaming since the end of 2022. It's just that in terms of music it's not very noticeable because yes, she doesn't consistently do covers and also the MVs period helped to disguise it

She's late to the party, the vtuber sphere is awash with covers of this song, including some other very good ones. If she had been early it would probably have done numbers but she's bringing up the rear of the pack and that's always a big debuff because the algorithm just buries you.

She's late. I've heard it from others." People view it from the perspective of the song instead of the singer. Same goes for everything else. Your oshi now is actually the blue dorito. When the talents go to negotiate benefits, you people are the points on the graph cover uses to argue that the girls are just cogs in a machine. People pretend to love them but treat the special activities they partake in as copypaste slop to be compared against the rest.

It's not about Marine. Remove Marine and insert your own oshi.

Why are you blaming fans for this? It's management who would push that mentality on them, and it would come down to copyright/legal issues or how to mass-produce content in a way where they won't get surprised by the unexpected.

It's not "blame" as in a negative fault. I don't think people are bad for liking the whole. It's just sad to see when someone puts effort into doing something, it just gets overlooked because for a company wide fan, it's a drop in the bucket. See the above poster.

When my oshi covers a song everyone else has already sung, it's special to me because the person I like is singing it. It's about her, more than the song.
I fall into the bucket of fans where if my oshi departs the company, then my patronage leaves with her. I enjoy the group interactions but my support flows through her. I'm an exclusive customer.
