If you've watched EN and seen the gals into pretty boys, its pretty obvious what actually would sell, and that is bromance. Literal shoujo tier shipping like you'd see on a Tumblr blog after an episode of their favorite romantic comedy. But that isn't what these guys want to be, they want fan groupies, they want female vtubers to throw themselves at their feet, along with fame and easy money. Ironically, they're on par or worse than the people they'd call out for being parasocial.
Once you get it, you realize what would work and why they'll never work.
