>>108967762>>108967879not really. it would affect birthrates if the people watching vtubers were desisting from starting families because of vtubers, but that's not the case. if you want children, vtubers aren't a replacement, you would have to be insane to think that. if you want to interact with women, vtubers aren't a replacement either, with a vtuber you can just sit back and enjoy the show, with actual women you usually have to drive the conversation yourself (specially if you're a man)
there is a sad reality that children are just the byproduct of sex, but people these days are too disciplined to give in to impulses, or they give in but in controlled and safe ways that won't have side effects. people are too smart, too educated, and too unemotional, not necessarily by choice, but because it would be impossible to live in the modern world if they didn't control their impulses. there is also an economic factor, but even if having children was cheaper, it's still a lot of work and money for what is basically a whim, and, in the modern mind, little more than a fetish
for example: no vtuber is stopping you from installing a dating app or going to a bar. now you're going to tell me (without having tried either) that you don't really want to talk to women, that you find the interactions boring, fake, even objectifying because you've to play the role of clown/dildo/wallet rather than yourself, etc. and that's fine, I don't think you're lying, but the vtuber has nothing to do with that. and if there weren't vtubers, you would be playing videogames or watching movies or studying or doing some other non-baby-making activity
