I'm still not even sure why Temanko came back as a vtuber.
The model isn't going to be the thing that saves her. She lacks the personality quirks and connections to make it far. (and i say this as someone who likes her)
If you mostly solo it you're rarely going to ever make any decent money in streaming period, never mind just vtubing.
She'd unironically do better e-girling it up again and going 200% in to it instead.
If she went 400% in to it, aka whoring, she'd probably make even more. But I doubt she would go that far, even if she did appeal to latex fetishists and "looners" for a period.

"30K subs" is an illusion. The vast majority are dead subs. This is true for any vtuber. The only count that actually matters are the small handful of top tier paying patrons.

having connections due to that helps a ton. unironically the biggest thing to help starting beyond just pure luck. a 1 view with connections only to other 1 views goes no where, but cling to a 4 view friend and you probably get bumped by proxy into a 3 view at least, just need to actually succeed from there.

There are several Vtubers in the West rn that were in 2view territory like Crelly and Ellie, Camilla, Anny etc that got massive boosts and viewers in 4 digits because they collabed with Vedal. They were 2views for over half a decade until a collab partner changed that. It really is just a matter of being seen by a larger audience

Truthfully Temako didn't have that many fans who oshi'd her. Probably 10 at most, way less if just non-JP, even at her peak. It is of course a big achievement for an indie to be oshi'd over all corpo options, but still.

But yes, Temako is pretty irrelevant rn. I don't think hiatus is the issue though. If Beatani came back I'm sure she'd get a frequent general here. It's simply that Temako is a Japanese vtuber with some very questionable mental decisions
