She might have already been on thin ice internally, and then she got pissed about the minecraft thing, dropped spagghetti, it blew up, and management tried to take a harder stance to rein her in a bit. Then people saw their response, got mad, asmon saw it because he's peripherally aware of the sad girl company and they're clearly trying to take the opportunity to change their image, which seems like even more of a 180 if you haven't noticed the signs from earlier, and then the whole clara thing blew up again. Then either the decision to graduate her was finallized, or the timeline was moved up a bit to seem a little more fair and pump the brakes on the transition a bit, only for that to blow up in their face even harder.
Just seems like a cascading series of events trying to minimize the damage from the previous thing but repeatedly making it worse in the process. Sakana should probably just accept the reputation at this point and lean into it by being the heel to all the insanity of his talents.
That's what I thought he was doing all this time, and why I thought he was the most important part of the whole meta storyline, popping up across streams to talk about how tenma would be the perfect idol if she didn't open her mouth or whatever and occasionally revealing his own quirks like LARPing as a starcraft turret to really round out the insane asylum.
I don't watch streams like it's a job or anything, but I do regularly watch clips of quite a few of the talents, and do pop into a few of their streams if I ever happen to have some spare time while they're streaming, and I only found out about the whole Clara situation through this. It just seems like a massive unforced error, and the only way for him to do a full rebrand at this point would be to basically start over from scratch or to boil the frog over such a long time that it wouldn't even be worth it.
