The thing is, picking yet another cute but generic and inexperienced person, or someone with a very mild personality, wouldn’t be enough for Hololive at this point, especially when you look at the quality of their latest gen, with people barely streaming or barely speaking English.
With the rumored graduation queue likely hurting them, hiring someone associated with Phase Connect wouldn’t matter at all and wouldn’t be a brand risk. People wouldn’t care. They’d just be happy to get a cute and actually funny chuuba and not be left without content, especially since Panko is genuinely a sweet, likable, and supportive girl.
If you think about it, Raora did her thing here and there before joining, but Hololive gives you a clean slate and no one even talks about it anymore. Gura did the same, and worse, and nobody cared then either.
What Hololive actually needs to focus on right now is talent value, and unironically Panko would be a great candidate for that. That said, again I don’t think she plans on auditioning. Jelly drama aside, she’s doing just fine in Phase.
