Every streamer might claim they come from "humble beginning" and would try to appeal to "everyone" at first, before finding it easier to just pander to the same niche for a specific audience base that will show up everytime, rather than a faceless blob of "general audience" that you'd have to put "efforts" in maintaining a rational behavior to not lose. Then they find a news cycle that has a clear cut "good guy" vs "bad guy" that the streamer would try to ride and unexpectedly gain a large following covering that story and keep looking for more similar cases, so when they inevitable fuck up a more divisive topic, they might try to apologize at first and try to ignore blind defenders, before succumbing to the same dopamine rush of wanting to chase that same high from being on the "right side" and starts getting more sloppy reading more unverified news stories and too lazy to fix any similar mistakes.

Asmo was just some WoW shitter that played games and complained about gaming, with normal room-temp takes that made him appeal to a wide audience to begin with, no matter how disgusting his living habit was. The big story he chases was the depp v heard trial that blew him up to a wider /pol/-like audience that he kept chasing the high off til this day. Normally his dad would try to moderate him so he didn't just blindly hate on one side and sic his fans on to mock- Oops, he died of old age.
