>>109355525Or maybe - just "maybe," mind you - maybe the company doesn't have express written consent from Octavio and his family to disclose the exact nature of the urgent family matter in the hiatus notice. Privacy laws are kind of a thing, you know; and "his fans can infer based on his public tweets on his personally owned and operated social media accounts e.g. his PL twitter" does not meet the legal standard for them to say what's up without his permission.
To say nothing about the part where doing so anyway would be a reverse Rushia situation - where Cover would be breaking their NDA with Octavio, instead of the other way around. They'd not only be violating his personal privacy by telling people details of his family situation he hasn't given them permission to tell, they'd also be violating his professional privacy by officially linking his Cover account with his PL accounts (which that same NDA expressly prohibits him from doing himself)
>but he told management about his family emergency!Which is why they granted him family emergency leave. But telling management why he needs time off is not the same as telling management that it's okay for them to tell the peanut gallery why he needs time off.
