>>109399619She isn't wrong. I don't know what it is about vtubing especially but so fucking much entitlement exists in it.
There is no "vtubing community", most vtubers will hate you for no reason, sometimes just based on your name alone. The people saying this likely even do the exact same thing, it's human nature.
You have no rights to be entertained a collab by anyone, larger or smaller than you.
>why does Hololive get to be big, why won't you throw a mention for us small guys?Fucking why exactly??
And the thing is, some of them already HAVE done this before:
Haachama hosted a collab with a bunch of indies over Skype calls (and deafened everyone listening with the overlapping call sounds dear fucking god)
Azki regularly held huge karaoke marathons with corpos and indies alike.
Several of them regularly hang out with smaller creators in the usual big collab servers for games (the FPS fiends, usually)
They did that on their own. They didn't need do, they wanted to.
If you actually want to grow, you have to find people who have the same interests, the same social circles, friends of friends, etc.
If you don't have that, it will be hard, but it isn't impossible. Even some of the most hated vtubers have friends, it just takes time.
If you come in to vtubing, content creation in general, thinking it will be some magical success story, you're only lying to yourself, you'll lose money, not make any.
Networking takes effort and it's a genuine skill that can be trained.
Most only come in to it casually, without any goals of making it big, that has always been the case even before the name "vtuber" existed and that's fine too.
