Is college really such a fuck fest in America? I spent too much time in College and I never fucked. I understand there's more sex in college than in high-school and at jobs because there are more young people, but I didn't think it was that bad.
Is it because Americans have this whole dorm system? I reckon most mexicans go to college in the same town they went to high-school and they live with their parents while attending college.

I was brought up in the Christian faith (was originally intending to go to college to be priest if you can believe it) so I've read the bible quite a bit. But if the bible allows this, or if god allows his religion to be made into such an awful comedy of what it once was, I can't help but feel that he is either completely apathetic to his flock or was never real to start.

I've come into the Shinto faith, and it's been life-changing. Not only is the religion not a complete joke, getting to know faith from an eastern perspective has opened my eyes to some glaring blindspots abrahamic religions never address. People will say it's cringe for a westerner to practice it, but my god I would be embarrassed to be seen as a Christian. The Shinto pantheon seems far more responsive than god ever was in all my life.

The "strict parents" thing doesn't work in the West because not only does the State commies have a tight grip on the family unit through regulations but there's also the culture of very early emancipation, where parents are happy to kick out their offspring as soon as they turn 18 if not earlier than that, there's not that cultural glue holding the family together either, and there's no such thing as filial piety either.

It's a wonderful religion and I'm slowly but surely finding my way into it (it's so hard to get resources as a westerner, you really have to be motivated to find some of them lol). It's given me a lot of spiritual fulfillment that I feel like Christianity never really gave me. I've been following it and getting shrine livestreams for around a year and a half now and I don't regret it for a second.

God in the Christian sense has never felt responsive, whereas the kami always feel like they lend me a hand when i ask. It could be confirmation bias, it could be I'm just seeing what I want to see but like... I never got this feeling from Christianity. It's hard to explain.
