Surprised I didn't see anyone else mention this last thread, but I'm pretty sure the recent cat videos have been coming from just Fuwawa (as in Mococo is not present when she's posting them)

The past couple (cat beds and cat kissing) have only had one emoji crying as opposed to the first one that had two different emojis crying. And this most recent one the emoji crying is a girl with a long ponytail (I'm very confident this is supposed to be Fuwawa)
Idk what's happening but I really think Mococo might be hospitalized or something

I think you're overreaching on this. It's likely as simple as they've been pushing themselves way, way too hard and management put their foot down since talents have been leaving or burning out hard the past year or so. Fuwamoco are one of the best bridges between the EN and JP branches and are pretty popular while hitting both those markets, so Cover likely needs to be a bit more hands on with them since they'll push themselves to their breaking point if left to their own devices. Having that much passion is great and all, but if it routinely leads to situations where their physical and mental health are getting battered I'd rather they slow down a bit.

If it turns out Moco-chan is in the hospital though I'll naked dogeza to make up for it.

It would depend on how rough they've been behind the scenes. As cute as it is to see Mococo fall asleep on stream she's was doing it fairly frequently. I'm sure Fuwawa has been toughing it out like with the solo streams, but they've gotta be exhausted and definitely aren't giving themselves enough time to recover unless "encouraged" by management to do so.

That bridge only goes one way. If they really wanted to be a bridge they should do streams that include both fanbases like Coco did. Instead they do JP streams while ignoring their core EN fans during those streams like they aren't even there in chat.

I'd disagree and say that they've helped foster a lot of JP and EN fans branch out a bit to explore other talents they otherwise wouldn't have. Fuwamoco could try and do streams that incorporate both JP and EN, but it's difficult to have both on the fly with translations making anything that's reaction sensitive like most games more difficult because they'd basically need to explain and react to everything twice. In my eyes it's more that Fuwamoco throw themselves into doing everything Cover wants them to do, which naturally revolves around JP because it's their golden goose, and the burnout that causes means that the first things that get cut are their normal streams. There's no enmity or anything for EN fans, that's Fuwamoco's base after all, but it's a side effect of them pushing themselves too hard all the time so JP streams are perceived to be their priority.

Migraines are definitely a possibility, and I think those get worse / more frequent if you're stressed, exercising too much, or just exhausted in general. It all really ties back to pushing themselves harder than they should to achieve everything, but if it causes them to take breaks they may not feel like they're doing enough, making them then repeat the cycle to try and catch-up to their "lost" progress.

I think that Mococo's new manager came in and didn't take any of her bullshit excuses and laid down the law as soon as they could. Which might be rough at first but was what they needed because things weren't getting any better and they need them healthy for fes and the world tour stuffs on top of whatever else they are doing. Fuwawa doesn't seem the type to miss deadlines so I really believe she wasn't punished and only skipped vday to make mococo feel better.

I think if that were the case, then the least they could do would be to let us know, even if indirectly, just so that those who are still holding out hope that things will improve can move on.
Something like posting photos on their roommate account of the food they're eating, but there's three plates of food instead of two, and never saying who the third one is for. I don't think something subtle like that would be prying too much and it would give fans closure.

Do we? Everyone warned them it would happen, they knew from previous experiences that they always end up cancelling things when they take too much homework, and they still did it, knowing how important valentine's was, knowing they'd be incredibly busy off-stream. They chose homework over valentine's and the ruffians the moment they said yes to all the homework without thinking how it would affect their valentine's streams. Maybe I'm wrong and it's completely unrelated to homework, and if I am, I'll apologize, but that's how I feel.

I want to know why too but you realize that's the most likely explanation right? They took too much homework and then collapsed either mentally or physically or both? Because it keeps happening. They don't owe us any explanation at all but I also do feel like to keep the relationship and the ood reputation they do have with ruffians we deserve a little more. At this point I don't really care the reason why necessarily as we can't go back in time but I need to see clear indicators they are finally going to start listening and making changes. If they try to cope with saying they're already signed up for everything and homework is good and they're burning up then I can't take anything they do seriously. It'll be hard to be as passionate as I have been if I know they are literally killing themselves for no reason and are one fuckup away from an even longer hiatus or worse.

Yes I love Fuwawa. Yes Fluffy Hitman streams to me are top tier FUWAMOCO content. But that doesn't change the fact that they missed an important stream in Valentines, that Mococo is still unwell, and that Fuwawa herself is unwell but just pushing herself on as she always does.

This is not sustainable. They've proved multiple times that this isn't sustainable. One of FUWAMOCO's main draws is their reliability, if you can't rely on them for Valentine's that's fucked. They even made a point of that last year, Fuwawa said you can always rely on them for Christmas/Valentines.

Don't think you can placate me with Fluffy Hitman if it means they'll just gloss this over and keep going the same way. Something needs to change.

I thin this is just people reading too much into it. They used to repost all sorts of slop on instagram before, but they got so busy that their RM activity became the one monthly tweet to not lose their account. That's what isn't normal, they're reposting slop now because being forced to rest means they're finally checking instagram again and using it to sadpost. I don't see it as unhealthy.

Agreed, and to add to this, the valentine's streams cancellations disappointed the Ruffians AND made FWMC feel really bad/menhera. This is not sustainable. This needs to become their wake up call to actually start taking their health more seriously and stop accepting ALL the homework.

Maybe you don't need to do "Playing Games With You 2" voicepack, maybe just play games with the Ruffians. Moderation is what I'm asking for. Sleep and a bit of free time outside of sleep. If you did a list of everything the average woman Vtuber hates and doesn't do, than FUWAMOCO would tick every box. They're pretty much the ideal Vtubing experience for anyone who likes Hololive. It's not surprising they get a lot of hate from groups that want Vtubing to just be Twitch with an anime girl avatar, including the aforementioned whores that slipped into Hololive.

Their very existence increases standards globally. The unspoken agreement among lazy whores is to keep standards low on purpose so as many people as possible can be no effort Vtubers. If everyone sucks, then the audience can never expect or ask for anything better and the lower standard of quality becomes the standard. That's why lazy whores in Hololive are so dangerous, because just by being in Hololive, you're automatically at least a 4view.

FUWAMOCO cause seethe among these types and their fans because they aren't just doing this for the money, they were grinding out this way for years when it would have been so much easier to just be a barista at Starbucks. And now they're more successful than all the people cynically trying to make money off the growing epidemic of lonely single men. They expose the lazy whores for what they are just by being themselves. And that makes their fans realize they could have had better all this time so they get mad at lash out at FUWAMOCO and their fans. The girls themselves criticize them, say they are "doing too much" or "going too hard" or "rushing too fast" because to a lazy whore, a schedule full of streams that start on time and not hating your audience IS doing too much or going too hard, at least for them.

It's a really small thing but in the last fluffy hitman stream the game started giving some generic geopolitical exposition about the next mission target in Morocco, and Fuwawa just acted like a cute fluffy girl and kept saying that she was just going to do whatever the game told her. The game clearly made a fake scenario and painted one side as the bad guys but Fuwawa didn't make any comments. I don't give a shit about Morocco, but I thought it was interesting how she kept it completely apolitical. Most other girls would probably give some generic supportive comment to the obvious good guys protesting the government or criticize the obvious bad guys and maybe use it to talk about current events, but Fuwawa didn't know for sure if the scenario was fictional or if it would upset some viewers, so she did the smartest thing she could do and stayed silent. Nowadays everything has to be political, there's IRL political shit inserted into games, movies, and shows, and every vtuber is constantly making political statements on Twitter or on stream, so I really appreciate FWMC, they are just fun, silly and cute, they won't hate you for not thinking like them, and they won't go out of their way to pander to people that only care about politics.

You don't need to pretend to know everything, you just need to be similarly uninterested in american entertainment growing up in the 90s/00s.
If you relate to FWMC in half of their interests, you probably relate to them A LOT more than you do most of holoEN. It's less knowing everything they know and more being as out of the loop/uninterested as they are when others are going on about EN memes/trends.
The lack of overlap in interests was probably the biggest filter I had when it came to holoEN before them, and why I mostly watched holoJP before. When Marine went on her fast talking rants that I could maybe understand half of, she was talking about stuff that was nostalgic for me too, probably from a different time, I didn't watch it on TV at the age she did, I watched it by downloading a decade later with fansubs, but I did that to escape the western media I could easily enjoy by turning on the TV.
They do often talk about things I don't know, but I'm happy to learn, and when they do talk about things I know and like, nobody else in EN (and often in JP) is as passionate as they are about that.

I relate to FWMC in their interests but not always in the exact same ones in the genre. For example I love VNs but I've played Majikoi and FSN, like most of the Japanese VN fans, and they haven't. I like anime, but they haven't seen a lot of anime I would consider to be "classics". For instance I don't think they've even seen a Gundam. And I still know enough about Western culture to be able to make SOME connection to people who aren't total weebs, like Star Wars, LOTR, etc. FWMC don't even share that much in common with their own parents which is is a shame because Papapuppy should have showed them MechWarrior.

That's kinda what I was getting at though. Their obsession was Idols, a chunk of VN, and being Japanese to the core. I've been hanging out on this site personally since the mid 00's and have spent a decent amount of time on various forums for anime, manga, and VN over the years. Japan is cool, and I think some of the societal differences are good, but I'm not so lost in the sauce that I can't relate to people here in NA at least a little bit, especially people my age.
I want them to talk more about and do more with old anime that they remember fondly but maybe don't remember enough that they'd want to watch it again. I'd also love more VN in general as well and have tuned into every single VN stream live for as long as reasonably possible because that's what I connect with them about. I still laugh my ass off at the idea of 2 women born in Canada doing ridiculous shit that makes Japs go "Why would you even know about that ancient thing? I barely know about it". There's still things that are buried deep in them that aren't Japanese, like their confusion at wanting to use an umbrella for a snowy day.

I mean I'll say that I'm not so out of it that I can't relate to anyone there or anything, but fuck if I get tired of seeing Solo Leveling, Demon Slayer, (insert newer shonen here) EVERYWHERE. Most people are extremely casually interested in anime and eat up only the most popular stuff. It's fun to go to a panel with a topic that's either old or at least a little deeper than the usual fare. Still enjoy the atmosphere and enjoy impulse purchasing stuff even if it's more expensive than buying online.

I guess it becoming more accessible legally had the drawback of also driving that mentality of consuming popular thing even more. I had no problem reading a lot of oneshots and random seinen and shoujo I found on scanlators because the amount of people I would have to talk about it would be zero either way. It wasn't that much of a social hobby. If I'm only reading for my own pleasure, might as well seek interesting stuff.

Anime as a whole never really became mainstream, only a few really popular shows did. Most of the people that watch those popular animes would get triggered by 99% of anime out there.

That's there too. Genshin cooled off, vtubers actually exploded for a couple years, but they've been on a cooldown in the last year. You see a lot more of the shonen stuff because it's easy to buy costumes for for cosplay so there's a ton of people just getting stuff to casually cosplay as those shonen characters.

Frieren is the most recent thing I've actually liked that the general pop really liked as well. It was nice seeing a bunch of art in artist alley of it, because I try to buy at least one print every time I go to a con to put up in my computer room on my collage wall of shit I like/liked.

You can't really say that when even back in the 00's there were still really popular shows like DBZ, Bleach, even Inuyasha, that took the limelight and had popularity dominate the con scenes. I'll say the craziest trend I've seen as of late is that there are a lot of women artists in artist alley who've been drawing Chi/Chobits art, and that is a space dedicated entirely to something they like because I can promise other than old fucks like me, no one is buying those prints.

If you mean like my parents talking to me about it, then fuck no it'll never be 'mainstream' in NA. Just look at attendance numbers and number of cons everywhere and the increase year over year for the last 15 if you want proof that the 'scene' is growing all the time, and had an especially large boom during covid into post-covid.
Funny enough, my 75 year old mom randomly asked me about Spy Family one day and asked if I had seen/read it. I got her to a site to read the translated scans and she ripped through it in a few days and had a good time with it.

Well DBZ aired on TV almost everywhere, so it's not really a counter argument, just an earlier example of the same thing. But if you wanted to get deeper into anime/manga, you had to resort to piracy and find what you like, unless you were ok with watching like three things only.
Maybe it's less of an universal experience than I'm assuming, but I'd hear about an anime for the first time by the "new releases" section of some tracker and I'd download and watch it right there for no other reason than the video quality being high enough.
A newer fan is less likely to put themselves in this wild west situation and more likely to hear about something that's already trending on social media, start watching it with one click and easily enter a loop of "more like this"
Too many options can lead to less variety if you never have a reason to venture outside of your comfort zone. Or something like that.

Heh, I remember scraping through a site called Anime Takeout, a Netflix-style anime only DVD rental service, to find some nice romantic dramas way back in 2004. Had a local comic book shop who'd stock anime dvd's too, and I'd look through them to figure out what I wanted to find online via torrents or watching on youtube part x of 3's in 2006+.
