>>109639257This is the issue I have with most of Advent, intuitively, I feel like all of them are lying grifters, except for Biboo. Biboo has cultivated a fanbase, not just because of her cute voice or hard work, but it seems like she is genuinely very passionate about gaming and vtubing.
- Nerissa feels like she only joined Hololive because she wanted a singing career, but she is not ambitious as her Japanese utaite counterparts.
- FWMC might have once had passion, but their whole shtick is marketing themselves as twins, and besides that, there isn't much there. I guess they aren't doing much wrong, since they are the English counterparts of Korone, and Korone's whole thing is: I'm a cute, retarded dog. But, I am very let down by them because their exploration into otaku culture is very surface level, and who do they appeal to? Horny 30-40 year old toddlers? Their content feels diminutive to its source.
- Shiori is a huge let down. Her debut had a lot of intriguing things, but she doesn't even try to pander to the bookie audience, and her biggest attempts to be subversive are making her own audience mad and making sexual jokes. She doesn't come off as a deep-thinking, interesting character. Just a half-baked, slutty egirl with no intelligence and substance.
At least with Justice, they didn't promise anything and retroactively shit on it, even though their designs, anesthetics, and concepts seem premature.
