Still, Pillow did know about the discord ban and was active in the discussions of the ban (as confirmed by Notta and the other anon). Any piwwo saying she pushed for a lower sentence or never agreed with it or was pressured is pure speculation. We will probably never know the truth though, so I guess I'll just hope she didn't want it to happen.

The only thing that we do know is that Pillow was not aware that mods banned him on YouTube. By the mod’s own words, Pillow wasn’t informed until well after the discord server went unofficial. It seems she may have even been informed earlier today, hence his incredibly abrupt ban and unban

That is true. A big question still remaining is if the ban was automatic because the accounts were linked (and potentially mods were unaware too) or if it was deliberate. I simply just don't know enough about discord modding to conclude anything about that.

I used to be a moderator for a different VTuber. I was in charge of her Discord and her YouTube as well. Users would have linked accounts, but one would NOT affect the other. You can ban somebody on Discord without banning them on YouTube and vice versa. The mods agreed to ban Cher on Discord, and then sought him out on YouTube to ban him there as well.

If you ask me, I think the mod Ronin Tenshi might be the one behind the YouTube ban. He’s already overstepped by handing out warnings to discord Piwwos over twitter accounts. I think it would be in character for him to overstep and ban somebody on YouTube without discussing it with anybody with the real mods

Problem is how do we monitor this? We only knew about Cher because RoninTenshi messaged a random piwwo so anons thought the mod announcement was about him and this led to people noticing Cher was banned. I guess I can kind of understand where he’s coming from. Even lewds aside, the mods did just try to ban one of the most prominent gachikoi around. They knew full well Pillow wouldn’t stand for having somebody like that removed forever, so they did it without telling her. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that this happened now long after several new mods were introduced into the server. Pillow really needs to reign her mods in and gain control over them, else this will happen again

The mods told Pillow they were banning Cher and she was part of the discussion over how to handle the ban. This is according to the mod response given to Notta and another anon. What is unconfirmed is if she didn't know about the youtube ban or if she knew but went out of her way to use the discord becoming unofficial to unban him on youtube (basicslly she planned all along to reverse it).

What really happened in the mod side of things really can only be speculated, we only have the ticket to go off of. It seems that maybe what Cher did was so atrocious that even Pillow couldn’t defend it, and so he remains banned in the Discord. That said, the DMs here >>109838148 paint a completely different story. However, by the mods’ own admission in their ticket with Notta, it seems that they neglected to tell Pillow that Cher was also banned on YouTube. Pillow was not informed of his YouTube ban until long after she stepped down from being the discord owner, which was at the start of the week. Seems she unbanned Cher right away. I wonder if she was angry at her mods for trying to keep him away from her entirely for 4 full months. I don’t doubt that they hoped Cher would just go away on his own if forcefully separated

I will say as someone who knows jack shit about any of this but has been on the other side of this kind of situation in a different vtuber's community, it is very common for people to pull abhorrent shit in private, get banned for it, and then run around to everyone who will listen claiming they did nothing wrong, mods are out to get them, etc etc and just completely lie out their asses to avoid admitting to the actual reason they were banned.

Nah, man, think about it like this. She had already been thinking about stepping down from the Discord because she didn’t like where it was headed. She’s not the kind of girl to say “fuck my mods are being shit, they’re fired”. She’s too kind, thinks too good of everyone, and hates herself reflexively, as far as she’s concerned, everything bad is always her fault alone. She knows that the mods are frankly more motivated and care more about the server than she does at this point, and the concept of going through the process of confronting the mods, firing half of them, and finding replacements, was just too overwhelming and painful for her to consider.

I thinks she supported him getting banned off the Discord temporarily because she doesn’t see that as much of a big deal and was misled by the mods about what he was saying in the Discord, saw the controversy and blow up over it the next day, looked more into the situation, realized it was a mistake but ultimately she was already leaning towards stepping away anyway, this was just, in her mind, was the last mistake on her part that proves she wasn’t cut out to run her own official server. Thus, she stepped away from the server, let the mods run it on their own so Cher stayed banned, but unbanned him off YouTube because she never wanted him banned there in the first place.

There’s no way Pillow would “approve” of having somebody she cares about being forcibly removed. At the same time, she can’t exactly fight against the “evidence” presented to her. It will never be known how the mods proposed a ban for Cher, if they presented only screenshots, or if they decided to fabricate or worsen details to make Pillow unable to fight for him. Anon the point is that pillow genuinely trusts us, all of us, and she actively invests a lot of emotional vulnerability into her relationship with us. The mods exploited that. Its not "i just dont want to deal with this", its a "I want to deal with this but I dont know what to do". Pillow has never found it in her to ever reject or push any fan away deliberately. The mods utilized the good will she has for us this time and caused her a tremendous amount of stress and emotional pain in doing so. Its 100% on the mods here because the alternative to this would be her hardening her heart and changing how she feels about us and if she did that it would be truly over anyway. She counts on us. And to be fair, pressure from piwwos is what essentially caused the rescission of the ban
Nobody who's watched her for that long should be expecting her to be capable of girlbossing

I do want to say that I am very proud of Piwwos here who saw what was a perceived injustice and decided to take action rather than to revel in it. Maybe I’m just being cynical, but what if Pillow actually wants to start moving away from GFE and instead of doing a Shondo and outright saying it, she instead is changing her character to something that makes GFE less realistic, in the hope that we start seeing her as a daughter instead and lower our expectations? Unless this is what she’s always wanted to be and only now she feels comfortable enough to be herself, that’s the only other explanation I can think of for the character change. It’s not just visual for her voice and mannerisms are already like 10-15 years younger than what they were 2 years ago.

I hope I’m just being schizo but I’ve seen this happen a few times with other vtubers, usually it’s the opposite where they were loli GFE and then they ‘grow up’ and get more mature models and drop the parasocial content so I’m not sure how to feel about Pillow.
