Question is - How involved Melody and her stud were in management of VS and disappearance of money? Melody was part of the meeting with Nux years ago so we can assume she has some importance.
And because of that... is Mousey that stupid to not notice it? Or she's just quiet to not butt heads with Melody? Or they just quietly shared that cash while GunRun was roasted by the public?

All the OP founders were in on it. Not to say the pyramid scheme thing was their idea but they all went along with it to recoup what they were owed. They were quiet until they outright stopped getting paid (Zen, Matara, Geega) or were looking at being on the hook for criminal embezzlement and fraud (Ironmouse and her charity)

Never even started, they took the money and ran when Gunrun was more interested in monetisation methods than caring about ANY aspects of the actual game

Probably most of them knew at least partially what was happening but either got paid to stay quiet or were too afraid of the backlash. It's hard to ignore the fact that Melody's fucker was pulling the strings behind entire company. Veibae and one of e-thots that was friend with Melody also vagueposted about him being a powetriping dickhead.
The JP side and maybe Hime can be excluded - Japs seems to be kept out of everything on purpose and for Sydney the entire Vtuber thing was just literally an extension of a meme video she did years ago.
I would not be surprised if GunRun was just a clueless idiot in this entire situation. He was just face of company and seems to not be the smartest guy.

The most amazing part of this whole story is how absolutely useless and worthless Gunrun is as a businessman. Imagine making Kevin of Phase Connect look reasonable and successful by comparison. Fishman is a smart guy.
He was already well established businessman with multiple businesses before PC became a thing and could easily just go back to it if shit will go sideways.
PC is more of a hobby project of a very rich guy. He seems to be more afraid of it just exploding into some huge drama than losing money.
GunRun on the other hand had nothing when VShojo started besides his own name and vague connections to Twitch. We can even easily assume that the initial funds came at least partially from Melody's pockets because she was literally the only person with this kind of sums that was involved.

What we know now is that Vshojo came to be because Gunrun was gooning to Melodys CB streams and because of his interest in VTubing, his obsession with Hololive and his background in the EN streaming sphere through his involvement with JustinTV, now Twitch, wanted to start his own EN agency. Melody likely founded the beginnings of the agency which gave her enough leverage that her boyfriend (now likely husband) Daniel "Apek" Sanders got a nepo hire job as the CFO and given how VShojo turned out, it is unlikely that he has any mathematical or financial knowledge. Melody furthermore recruited other talents through her friendships with other EN Vtubers like Ironmouse or Silvervale. To me it seems like for all this work Melody became a sort of shadow board member, not official, but with huge influence together with her boyfriend over the direction of the company. Maybe she even got a large stock share as compensation and could therefore call the shots
