Still better off than most indies, but look at the Japs. There's a massive income disparity between the top (Rushia, Subaru, Pekora, the likes) and the bottom (Mel is probably unfair, since Hololive is only a hobby for her, but the likes of Choco don't do much better). The more EN grows, the more it'll look like that.
Will indies still want to join? Absolutely, it's still a huge step forward unless you're vshojo (which, whether you hate them or not, is hugely successful and the only English group within striking distance of Hololive and ahead of Nijisanji).
But 'One or two years to get all the money you'll ever need'?
That held true for EN1. I doubt it'll be true for EN2. Any future gens, forget it.
