They got permission to play it since Nintendo is the less retarded on permissions than the other companies, surprisingly. Though, I think it still follows the 1 week advance notice that the other hololive members have to go through. This rule was mentioned before and it kind of makes sense since October has had a blitz playthrough of Little Nightmares 1 & 2 already. It's not that they were sponsored to do so; it's that they had to get the week notice and they happen to play the same game in a relatively short time because they didn't mention they were playing the same game to each other.
