>>11228109>"english" Vtuber branches>they are all actually just various kinds of leaf-chinks, oz-chinks, hafus, gooks and seadogs.Seriously tho, interesting development. HoloEN gen1 only had one gook, and four white girls. HoloEN 2 has been flipped to a cast that's majority ethnically asian.
And NijiEN was already pretty much fully RICED anyway. As for the why's and how's on how that happened... nepotism? As in, to get in it matters what people you know, and since most relationship networks have a racial bias, that's what gets promoted. Or that asian girls have a higher affinity to the general vtuber/anime fandom anyway so it's only natural that they tend to get overrepresented. Or on the other hand, that white girls tend to have some more faults (for example, whereas asian girls are more likely to conform and just play the role of cute anime girl as is asked of them, white girls tend to be more "unreliable" and have an increased risk of sjw etc. - the latest NijiEN wave hires with the Honeyfox demonstrate this problem perfectly, OF COURSE it had to be the one single white women among the other asians that's contentious. So yeah, maybe this "discrimination" and overrepresentation of asians in "english" corporate vtubing (oh and it's not just the big two corps either, in all of the smaller western startups ethnic asians are also overrepresented) doesn't have to be such a bad thing in itself, as long as it leads to a better product from an audience perspective, and white women largely don't have their shit together enough.
