>>11249227>Nothing to make a big deal of.Anon, the market is expanding. Being the "biggest name in town in 2019" doesn't cut when the top of 2019 would be NijiEN tier right now.
I understand the attempt of a point here:
>Nijisanji did not recline (or incline) from their 2019 numbers. They were already a top company back then, hence they are still a top company now.The problem with that reasoning is that a sort of "BIG BANG" happened on the vtuber scene and where "2000 CCV, 200l subs" was big for 2019 it is minuscule for the current market.
Consequently what was considered big back then is a fraction of what's even acceptable today.
Meet Ray William Johnson. At one time this face was the most punchable of the whole internet, and he held all records of numbers on Youtube.
Then he took an arrow to the knee, some newcomer found a new meta, a new formula and ate his porridge and now he's literally (not even kidding) tending bars somewhere in Cali while playing some gigs with a mediocre rock band.
It was not that he changed much (he did, but not much) but that Youtube changed completely, grew tenfold and he was left behind.
Luckily Nijisanji brass doesn't consider "stable numbers" to be acceptable and they're putting their whole effort in multiple fronts to try to turn their ship because if they believed they were in a good spot they would be as dead as that bloke right now.
