Nijisanji has a lot of plankton clinging to the bottoms of whales. The audience is more sensitive to the idea of being taken for a ride, since there are is a much larger rotation of new talents and obviously not all of them will be lifelong chuubas. So hearing VtL from a glorified 2view who doesn't actually feel it in her soul is patronizing, given the amount of work and time that's gone into making the song actually have meaning.
For good or bad, Hololive is more selective. They don't breed as often, but they last a long time; the elves to Niji's humans. So it's generally assumed that every girl who "makes it on the team" has paid her dues or at least earned her way before coming to Hololive. In a way, new girls singing SSS only makes the song even more powerful. They're adding their strength to the Aldmeri Dominion.

I'm really disappointed on the management as well as the fans with how a talent of Chigusa's caliber was treated. A stark contrast with how successful Polka is. Both of them are extremely talented but Chigusa right now is reduced to spamming Apex to stay relevant while Polka is having a blast interacting with her juniors of the foreign branches.

If you want to point out to a real forgotten Selejo he should have brought up Ako who works so hard on producing tons of (amazing) covers but hasn't blown up yet, doesn't collab much unless it's music or her debut mates, and has resorted to shilling herself in English on Reddit. Not a single one of her covers has reached 1 mil, closest is 500k-ish despite being one of the best in Nijisanji, her peers could release a meme cover and have it hit 1 mil easily. Fucking Ngo and Kohaku have shown up on more Nijisanji shows than her recently....

Being a part of Nijisanji enables them to stream as little or as much as they want. They are under no contractual obligation to stream a set number of times a week and therefore don't get a salary either. If they want to pursue vtubing as a hobby after work they can. And if they want to make their vtubing a serious career, they can do that as well.
