>>11365358As someone who's always really liked fantasy/furry/kemono art but would never associate with that fandom, I've always found fursuits to look disgusting, cringe inducing, and sometimes outright horrifying.
Like with most subcultures, Japanese fursuits exist but they're a bit different than western ones. Despite the general creepiness, they're usually aesthetically cuter with bigger eyes, more expressive faces, and a better sense of color theory and design patterns.
Basically, think more fantasy anime mascot like Vyrn from Granblue Fantasy or Nanachi from Made in Abyss and less twelve year old's notebook drawing covered in rainbow excreta. In fact, there's a lot less rainbows and faggotry in general with Japanese furry art, as even within extremely niche subcultures, the Japanese think homoshit should mostly remain private. At the very least, the Japanese artists that do draw gay furry art, all that "pride" crap is completely absent.
