EN don't live in the same region. Not even close. A local studio is impossible due to that.
The talents are free to do whatever they want in regards to content they produce, including new L2D, 3D models, fucking around with other AR programs (which really only Haachama did properly), etc.

It's pretty obvious that, despite their success, Cover sees HoloEN as second-class citizens. Just look at the poor quality of their group cover song, giving them zero assistance on projects (like Ame doing the entire anniversary stream setup herself), and how bad things like Gura's rigging were. See also the JPs getting special treatment with regards to the Minecraft server. They probably expected it to flop and resent that the white pigs get so much more attention than the JP girls get.

On sheer number, yes, but only at the level of niche circle where JPs appeared on national television, being interviewed by comedians and on talk shows, having their images plastered over train stations, convenience store chains and sports events. By all means, JP holo are at the level that legitimate businesses and corporations was willing to sponsor and use their images for promotion. Their reach is just much wider then EN who are stuck at the level of a curiosity at worst and e-celeb fad at best.

I am sure the operating costs of Myth alone is probably at least the cost of the entire ID and Stars branch combined, since Cover would still have to follow some local regulations even though they are sub contractors. I would imagine if EN stops being profitable or they need to make budget cuts, EN will get the axe real quick. So you better go download whatever they are shilling otherwise the branch will be the next CN.

By the time they were popular enough for 3D models and moving to Japan to be a consideration, covid was already ravaging the entire world. They were not fucked by anything out of nowhere. lol no. Cover is no way the ones to directly sending emails and shit to corporations for promotion. The company is way too small to even do that shit and the ones who extended to the promotion offers are from the big corps themselves. Cover basically a middle man and the process likely happened in this manner:
>Big corpos wanted to use chuuba iages because chuuba has big subscribers/appeared on some news website that the PR manager caught sights of/appeared on another big corp advertisement and now the PR department to to copy that strategy
>Big corpos send offers to Cover
>Cover accepted then talked with managers/chuuba if they accepted
>if yes, both side debated on how the image of the chuuba will be used/how promotion campaign will be handled
The fact that EN holo not having big promotions/sponsorships is simply because they didn't catch the attention of Western big corps, hence the whole low clout level.
