>>1277554Annoying Orange is a metaphor of trying to promote Christianity, prominent throughout the earlier videos. Orange acts as a devout Christian, trying to spread the word of god to many. The other fruits are variations of people who do not accept God. For example, Apple is an atheist. This makes sense because he is a very common fruit, just like how atheists are common in society. Orange goes on to annoy Apple, to the point of Apple getting very angry. Orange’s ramblings are symbolism of an attempt to convert to Christianity. It should be noted that Orange’s ramblings are not inherently annoying, it’s more so that the other fruits have a short temper and a weak will. In Orange’s attempt to ‘convert’ Apple, Apple quickly snaps. This is common with atheists, usually angrily rebutting a Christian’s argument, instead of engaging in conversation. Orange continues to try his hardest, but it is clear that he cannot get through to Apple. Apple is then knifed, which marks the death of him. Being knifed is a symbolism of the ultimate punishment for being unable to convert, going to hell. Notice how Orange always tries to warn the other fruit about the impending “knife”, yet even in their last moments, they refuse to listen. It should also be noted that the fruits that do stick around are the ones that tolerate Orange. A good example of this is Passion fruit. When she is first introduced, she has the choice to either join Orange or join Grape Fruit (a satanist). She is unable to decide in the end, however, only Grape Fruit gets knifed because he is a Satanist (note that he appears to be alive in later episodes, I assume this is hinted that even Satanists can be redeemed by God’s light). Since Passion Fruit was considering being with Orange (the side of Christianity), she was spared. This represents that she has it in her to accept the word of god. It is not surprising that DanBoe tackled this concept, as he has tackled many other subjects like Nihilism in “Screaming Eggs”.
