Dude started with a tiny nothing company, struck gold and has tried to ride the lightning ever since. It’s pretty obvious as they grew he had a lot of people to answer to but all things considered he seems to be doing an alright job. The fact the girls in general speak very positively of him is telling. Even Coco seemed to be on good terms with him during graduation.

He personally would meet with Miyabi when Holostars was first started to discuss ways to draw new viewers and help him out mentally when he was pulling <20 views. He seems like a caring person who is managing a company growing at an enormous rate. We only see the talents, but most of his time these days are probably more concerned about contracts, loans, schedules, etc. rather than being able to support his talents. The fact he makes an effort is laudable.

He seems like a good guy that has to deal with a company growing at an enormous rate

Middle management is almost always the problem. Too disconnected from the talents to really feel any empanthy, too far from the top to see the big picture, just enough power to make the lives of everyone miserable if they get out of control, and the easiest area to end up with massive bloat.
A necessary evil once you get to a certain size, but it seems like the middle management at Cover was/is needs to be reigned in.

But more importantly she implies that he is not the arbiter of all decisions. Staffers had to constantly tell him "You can't talk about that" or "Don't say that". People mistake CEO for ownership. There's most likely a board and/or investors that he has to answer to. No amount of "strength" changes that.
