I am a drawfag and watching art streamers was boring before. After Ina it's unbearable. I know what they are doing but a lot of it is very tedious and repetitive, and they can't chat and draw at the same time. I remember thinking Ina must've been a little out of sorts working on an usual pose for her Marine sketch, went to get a snack, and came back to a full Noel rough. Anyone who tries to enter that sphere is going to be compared to her, and come out looking bad 99% of the time. I suspect this why Sana doesn't want to do much art on stream.

Mini painting is a lot like drawing. You can do time lapse and make videos people will watch. Do it real time and you better be blazingly fast and good with a great camera setup or no one will watch. Even pros take forever to do NMM or fine shading, fine detail. That's boring as shit for people who aren't into minis

Having niche Holos can work well but you are asking that particularly vtuber to sacrifice part of their audience for the niche one, since most people aren't going to be interested in minis. See Kiara and her obsession with numbers poison JRPGs. It works out okay for her, she got a niche sponsorship she really liked and has a die hard fanbase, but it might be a tough sell. Also GW and Cover working out permissions sounds like pure hell.

Just take it off, do normal stream/content creator stuff with an avatar like Corpse, Dream or even JP streamers like most of their FPS streamer dudes who aren't pros (Daruma, Niru, etc). I wish there was a vtuber that really utilized the whole virtual roleplaying aspect to create a full thorough mixed media ARG type experience. Like what Uchikoshi did with A-set for his AI Somnium Files marketing but going all the way to weave the narrative into streams with audience interactivity. Would require an actual great seiyuu who can keep the facade mixed with a great director and storyteller though.

IMO more vtubers should really embrace the virtual/role-playing aspect of streaming with an avatar. You could do so much with it, especially if the rigging.artwork design is of your choosing. What's the point of having a persona if you play the same games, do the same things, sing the same songs, etc.

There is zero chance that Luto switches to giving language lessons every day. For it to be successful it needs to be the thing the chuuba does. They need to be the Japanese teacher chuuba that the EOPs go to to learn. Like how Sal Khan started off teaching his cousin math and recording it, and now he's the head of a massive nonprofit and rich as fuck. This is a thing that can actually work, engagement will be much higher in a class taught by a cute anime girl. You might think it's dumb but it's true.

Doing 'x' with a vtuber avatar doesn't automatically get you a larger pool of viewers no matter how unique it may be. It probably applies just yet another filter that isolates you into an even smaller demographic of viewers who enjoy both 'x' and vtubers. Like others have pointed out in the thread, why be the vtuber who teaches japanese instead of just being a regular youtuber who has a wider appeal by building a community based around teaching japanese?

Because the Venn diagram for people that like anime and want to learn Japanese almost completely overlap. You're almost arguing against the existence of vtubers at all here. Why be a vtuber if you can be a 3DPD streamer and get more views? There's a market out there for a cute anime girl to make lesson plans and have weebs watch her for a few hours every day over the course of a year and learn Japanese. She could even make a discord where members can get more help.

The classes will go nowhere and retention will be shit. You need consistent practice to learn a language and if you only have class once in a while people will need to go elsewhere if they are serious about learning.
