>>11625785>Is it because Suisei is just that strong?I will never forget that collab where Suisei had to reinstall Apex. For the first hour or so, she had a still screen and was chatting with Matsuri, periodically telling people to go watch her instead, since Matsuri was actually playing the game. And through it all, she maintained 1k-3k viewers more than Matsuri and there was also a several k drop in Matsuri's numbers the moment Suisei got the game up and running. I mean, say what you will about Matsuri, but Suisei doesn't even know how to play that game and you could hear her anyway on Matsuri's stream.
>>11626304This is true. On the other hand, her maintaining 9k viewers all the way through Luna's Birthday 3D despite telling viewers to go watch Luna and catche her archive later. Also it being the third part of a story-driven game where the previous two streams were 7½ and 8 hours long is nothing short of impressive regardless of how much Japan loves its RPGs.
I think there was a chart at some point showing Suisei to be a top 10 Holo in viewer retention. It seems as if her fanbase tunes in whenever she streams and stays for the entire duration. Previously I would have said that it's mostly because her streams tend to be relatively short, but with this I think there might be something else going on. After all, there were those trading cards or whatever they were posted here that had Suisei's be one of the more expensive and I think I also saw someone claim that on the aftermarket her merch tends to fetch some of the highest prices.
