Pure, absolute equality won't really help too much, especially as different people are naturally different. You can't get total obedience without censoring the media and rewriting history, and that sucks, so the only other option is to let the people go free, but they're either going to split up in groups, which breaks unity and equality, or they're going to revert to the status quo, which still provides space for capitalist exploitation.
Communism and equality in general is pretty damn doomed, so in the meantime i guess people should just go for equity. Kinda sucky and exploitable, but most the left and the right are far too damn stubborn to listen these days.
