Even if all you care about is money at the end of the day - talent need to be motivated and know that their company supports them. This is what keeps morale high and maintains a proper work ethic.
Not maintaining this balance is what leads to people being bitter about their work and their company. Its what leads to people leaving and bad PR. It's a snowball effect that a lot of people disregard, but this isn't cashiering or clarical work, theyre entertainers and they have to be taken care mentally if this whole idol thing is to continue.
Also, ethically, it's just the nice thing to do for somebody.
